wooo!!!

I loved it. It's really sad, especially with the puppy outside on the chain. I love animals, they're the only creatures not motivated by selfishness. I hate the :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:s that do horrible things to them.

Anyhoo, that's a really good easy-read poem.

THANKS!

As of yet, i dont know of ANYONE who dosent like animals.
Not personally anyway.

But, you hear stories like this and it does make your blood boil. The people who do such gastly things should be hung.

A grisly discovery in south London has led to a dog owner being banned from keeping any animal for 10 years.

Two Yorkshire terrier-type dogs, abandoned by their owners, died of starvation while a third dog was forced to eat their dead bodies to survive.

The dogs were discovered by police in Peckham, following a complaint about a bad smell. RSPCA Inspector Mark Miles attended and immediately took the surviving dog to a vet where she was treated for severe malnutrition. She regained one-tenth of her bodyweight in just two days.

Owner Susan Poynter, 30, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the dogs when she appeared before Camberwell Green magistrates. In addition to the ban, the court ordered her to carry out 150 hours community punishment and imposed a supervision order of nine months.

Ms Poynter said she had to move from the property when her partner went into hospital and she could not take the dogs with her.

The surviving dog, that is around three years old, has now been found a loving new home by the RSPCA.

"These dogs were left to starve for months," said Inspector Miles. "She could have asked for help rather than abandon them to their fate. It was a horrible end for them and the poor dog that survived only did so by having to eat her dead companions. This is one of the worst cases that I have had to deal with."

We are supposed to be living in a world of caring and compasion.....yeah right!!.

if she was going to abandon them atleast put them outside so they have a fighting chance if you wont bring them to a shelter. not that outside abandonment is a desirable alternative either...

it makes me really sad to think of any animal or person to have to go through something like that. it is very disturbing to think someone could knowingly do that.

Kyle, another true story from our nation of cat and dog lovers:

A British court sent a mother of two to prison for six weeks for killing the family cat by boiling it in a washing machine in front of her daughters, aged five and 15.
Holly Thacker, 34, decided to kill Fluffy after it scratched her, the court in Norwich in eastern England heard.

She denied cruelty.

Jonathan Eales, prosecuting, told the court that Thacker's ex-husband alerted the national animal protection society, the RSPCA, following a conversation with her at her home on November 7.

"A conversation took place in which she said: 'I haven't got my cat any more.' He said: 'Why?' She said: 'The cat scratched me so I put it in the washing machine,' " Mr Eales said.

"She then laughed and said: 'I put it on a f---ing boiling wash as well.' She said: 'I am serious. Then I put it in the bin.' "

RSPCA inspector Rob Melloy visited Thacker's home after the tip-off and before he entered, checked the rubbish bin, where he found a carrier bag with the dead cat inside.

Thacker said she had set the dial at 90 degrees Celsius.

According to a veterinarian, the cat would have taken five to 10 minutes to die. Fluffy broke its claws trying to escape.

Speaking after the case Melloy said: "In the seven years I have been working for the RSPCA as an animal inspector, I have never come across anything as heartless as this.

"It was a deliberate act of cruelty and she knew the cat would die in the washing machine.

"I hope this sends a very strong message to anyone who is capable of doing anything like this that society will not tolerate it and if we find you we will prosecute you."

that's good that she got what she "deserved."

If you ask me, the punishment should fit the crime.... why can't we boil this bXXch in a huge vat of boiling water? :pufi:
