old, rare songs that everyone always talks about
WHERE ARE THEY???
I know this may be annoying but I used the search feature and didn't find anything helpful, plus its late and i've been up all night looking at fansite after fansite to hear SOMETHING but I can't find anything! (not a good sign) I know its not a good idea comming on to forums asking for unreleased type of songs but i've been on some that are rather relaxed about it (and I KNOW you all have them or at least heard them!) I don't know if i'm allowed to ask for them...ok I know the answer here but i'm really desperate. Could anyone tell me through a PM where I can obtain a few? I'm really just dying to hear Carnivore and God's Gift to Women that I hear mentioned frequently. Is that so wrong? |

here is a good site to look up song listings and lyrics for all her songs, you will have to sort through the album songs to find the old and rare ones, but I'm sure this site has 98% or 99% of her songs listed http://endor.org/jewel/
the best way to find songs is to use a p2p and search them detailed by the song name not just "jewel rare" or something bland like that...

I have nothing against you asking for them but we can't allow people to provide links to where they can be downloaded.
I am sure there are many members here that can help you out but we have to be careful about providing links. Welcome to the forum by the way!! I like you're username. |

I actually have Limewire and I put in the specific title and artist yet I still don't find what i'm looking for. I've come across a handful i've not heard of but none of the really early stuff I was searching for except for 'Bizarre Love Triangle' I found last night. I was just curious if there was a site that I could download or just listen to some of them. Anyway I mostly wanted to hear those two and they were sent to me so i'm very happy now. I love her sense of humor on that one song

sites have pretty much been shut down and we wouldn't post them here on the forum anyhow.. I've never even heard of Bozarre Love Triangle, is it good?

I don't know that one either. Jewel never ceases to amaze me with all the songs that I still don't know about.
But yeah, a lot of sites got taken down for sharing MP3's and 1 even got shut down for having streaming video from Yahoo. Seems that wasn't allowed either. Whoever controls that side of things for Jewel, they get very tetchy, very easily and we don't want to rattle any cages but most of all, we don't want to be prosecuted |

I've seen a few sites that have it listed as hers. When I first listened to it I thought she sounded a little different. I couldn't tell if it was the way she was sining or if it was some early song and her voice wasn't as matured as it sounds now. It might not be hers but it sounds like her style and its not a bad song.

Has anyone else besides Chris and myself heard that Acapella version of Foolish Games and know if it is really Jewel? It kind of sounds like her but some points in the song it doesn't sound like her... it's acapella but there's like a womens choir in the background, it sounds neat but I want to know if it is really her..????

I think the A Capella version is from UPenn's A Capella group called "Off the Beat" (I think that's their name). Try finding that one and compare.

I've never heard that acapella version you're talking about so I don't know if it's her.
