Jewel little sister - Jessica Simpson
Hmm... does anyone else feel that Jessica is trying to "copy" Jewel? I don't have nothing against her, but it's such a coincidence that her upcoming country album is produced by John Rich? hmm...maybe Jewel recommened him... who knows

they are supposedly friends which seems weird to me in the first place. in fact, jessica was interviewed in this months issue of In Style. In the interview she mentioned being friends with Jewel. Here is what she said:
"I adore Jewel. We're good friends. I ask her advice all the time, and she's one of my role models..." It goes on a little more, but that was what seemed important to me...So, maybe Jewel did tell her to go with John Rich since she gives her advice. weird... |

Wow that's cool. I'll have to check out that InStyle. Hopefully Jessica's country album will be better than all her others. They are crap. It seems like she is only famous because of the TV show she had and not her music.

yeah, I find it strange that Jewel is friends with Jessica Simpson ans probably Ashley too.
I remember Ashley's album was called "pieces of me"...I guess that was also inspired by Jewel's "Pieces of you"

It is a weird celeb friendship isn't it? Jessica Simpson has a great voice but she is way too obsessed with fame so I wouldn't have any regard for her as an artist.

I don't think she's obsessed with fame. I think her dad is a big part of who she is. He seems to be the one trying at all costs to promote his daughters, whatever the cost. I think Jessica tries to keep a low-profile look, apart from that ridiculous Newlyweds stunt. I don't see her doing craziness for paparazzi or things like that. But yeah, I don't like her as a singer and all her songs are pretty terrible, so I'll probably skip her country album. Unless Jewel starts writing for her...

I wonder if she's so-called "friends" with Jessica Simpson so she can get ideas for lyrics. She's written about dumb blondes before....
From the song Stephenville, TX: "So why not follow me, the blond bombshell deity? I'll sell you neat ideas without big words And a little bit of cleavage to help wash it all down..." That sounds like Jessica Simpson to a 'T'!!!!!!!
