Jewel and Steve Poltz

Whatever happened with these guys? He use to tour with her and stuff, and she would mention him in most interviews, now they seem like they've never met.

What's the deal-e-o

Or have I just been living under a rock and things are okay with them hehe?

I think everything is fine with them. She has just been concentrating on her stuff and he has disappeared for a while.

Jewel wouldn't be where she is today without him. I don't think they would ever fall out. I think his style is more folky and Jewel wants to do different things. I suppose that's just my take on it.

He was at her Minnesota concert this summer, and they sang a few songs together. Everything seemed ok to me.

Hey I was at the Minnesota concert too! It seemed fined to me. It was an awesome concert.

Yeah, it was a great show. I was the very pregnant lady toward the back ;)

My husband used to live in San Diego and went to a lot of Rugburns shows. He was less than thrilled to be dragged to a Jewel show, but was happily surprised by the Steve Poltz appearance (as was I). (He has become a Jewel convert since the baby arrived - "Near You Always" works miracles with this child!)

Is there a complete list of all the songs that Jewel & Steve sing together?? I am so slow I just now found out about Steve as I was searching for rare songs and came across a few songs, but could only get two of them (Silver Lining and a bad quality My Valentine) Anyways the other songs on there were called "Old Lover's House", "Impala", and "I thought I saw You Last night"

ok and this is off the Steve poltz topic, but did Jewel sing a song called "To the Teeth" with Ani Difranco?? and also I know Flea was featured on Barcelona, but I came across a live YWMFM that was just labelled "Jewel & Flea" but I couldnt get the entire thing, does anyone know if Flea is really playing with her on this? Had he ever played live with her?

Old Lover's House is on the Ruburns' (Steve's band) album Taking The World By Donkey. Silver Lining, Impala and I Thought I Saw You Last Night are all included on Steve's solo album One Left Shoe. I don't know of a complete list of duets but a couple of other songs they've sung together are Love is a Rose (Neil Young song) and Kilkenny Man.

btw what's the story between Jewel and Steve? Like how did she meet him, how did he help her write YWMFM? etc.... is there maybe an article somewhere? Or anybody with more knowledge than me care to share???

oh and yes btw that Ani Difranco song wasn't her, but someone just tagged it with her name cause they thought it sounded like her....

They have an awesome song together called Daddy She's A Goddess. They also wrote Kiss Your Ass together, and a few others I fail to remember...

Daddy She's a Goddess is a great song. I always enjoy listening to that.

But yeah, Silver Lining is my favourite of all the songs they do together.
