Jewel on a Halloween Cd?
The title is probably misleading and Halloween was a week ago but I havent been on here much lately b/c it kept kicking me out but now it's good *thanks Kiera* ok... I was making a mix cd of Halloween type music the other day to listen to on Halloween and of coarse I wanted to put some Jewel on there... but what song really is spooky or have anything remotely to do with halloween? I woulnd up putting New Wild West on there b/c I've been into it lately and I guess some of the lyrics like "we'll fight with whispers and blades so get ready" .... enhhh I don't know but my wife was like why is this on the halloween mix and I was like "hey it's my mix I can put what I want on it" he he he anyway when she said that it got me thinking what song would be more fitting? or fitting at all? Maybe nicotine love? The version I have she starts out saying how her b/f would tape shows about serial killers so maybe that song would be semi-fitting?
Can anyone think of any Jewel songs spooky enough to go on a Halloween cd??? Just curious?

I would deft have to Say "Haunted" from the 0304 album.. I always pictured that to be in like a horror movie when the pyscho killer is ready to attack

I would stick Jewel's version of Under The Water from the Craft soundtrack on there too. Oh and Barcelona has a kind of eerie feeling to it early on in the song so that would work too.

you know I never even thought of HAUNTED... what is wrong with me? I guess I don't listen to 0304 that often... but yes that would be an obvious choice... and Kiera youre right Barcelona does sort of have an eerie feeling but under the water for me wouldnt work b/c I always associate it w/ Deborah Harry.... it's like Jewel's version of Rapture haha well I guess it would work, oh well thanks everyone maybe next year I can make a halloween mix w/ more Jewel on it..

Rosy & Mick - it has a violent undertone which may not necessarily be 'Halloween-ie' but frightening thought nonetheless

Dont you think the music and the way she sings it is scary? The part "two ships sailing on a neon sea, eat the fleash, spit out the seeds" is freaky, and the little ding in the background gives it extra charm.

Nicotine Love!! Kinda scary I think...
Go ahead touch me like that The way you pull my hair back Go ahead breathe me in Bite me til I bleed This love is like barbed wire running through my veins Nicotine love Go ahead hurt me like that Ive been hurt before I wont be fixed again Im not afraid to sweat Cause I like the pain and its familiar to me And more gentle than most men will ever be Nicotine love *but dont get me wrong I dont want a friend Just need you here to help me satsify this childish sin This insatiable desire, this hunger so deep You will melt on my tongue And I will put you to sleep And I will press you like petals Til youre fragile and bent And Ill rid you of... Nicotine love It hurts just right Not to know your name But feel that body beneath me Struggling as though it was somehow sane As when I was with him Gonna make you promise to me Than I will crush your heart Cause I cant Because it happened to me Nicotine love So come here baby My honey, cutie-pie Let my fingers swim like pale fish through your hair So I can tell you that I love you Your safe, never let me go You wonder why it Im here With patience, soon itll be all too clear Nicotine love *but dont get me wrong... So go ahead touch me like that The end is drawing near Go ahead hurt me that way You dont even know enough to fear You dont know how true it is when you say My kisses are sweet as death But soon youll have no more options Its all you have left Love is like barbed wire Im electric and so alone So come here stray cat Im gonna take you home Im gonna press you like petals Til youre fragile and bent And ill... Well ill... Nicotine love

yes Christie I think that's probably the best choice also.... especially like I said up above, the version I have has her explaining about the tapes about serial killers and all.... does anyone have different version from that?

Ok I just found my indefinate answer today.... I bought the Only One Too (Pull Club Mix) from the iTunes music store.... WOW! first off it's spooky as hell, the music is like instrumentals from a horror movie I swear, they completely changed the song's tempo and it's awesome, one of the best remixes of a song I have ever heard, it's really different and definately worth 99 cents.... everyone should hear this song....
