The Rocking Jewel (Jewel's brand)
And by brand, I mean a cattle brand (branding iron, that is!). In GAC: Origins, Jewel was showing off the house that is now her studio and the kitchen has a really cool table with some chairs. On the chairs she pointed out that they were branded with her brand, the rocking Jewel. I didn't realize she was serious, I thought it was something that was just on the chairs and was a little joke she had. But then later in the show, she's on a horse and on the front left leg of the horse is her brand "the Rocking Jewel" again! And when they played a clip of Stronger Woman at the end of the show, I noticed it's on her guitar strap, too.
It's the jewel-shape with an arc beneath it (like a rocking chair's base)...get it, the rocking Jewel? |

That's cool. I love learning new little things like this that would otherwise go unnoticed.
Sonne - cattle are generally branded using an iron symbol or code (numbers or letters or both). Like an iron stamp. It's heated up and then burned into the cow's skin. In Jewel's case, hers is the symbol on her guitar strap that looks like a jewel (stone) sitting on top of a curved line. Hopefully that is a little clearer. I'm probably not explaining it very well. |
