At my escuela (Im taking spanish, so i have to practice) I have a block scedule which basically works like this:
Period: Class: 1 Health 2 Theater 3 Spanish 4 P.E. (a massive eww..) 5 English 6 Algebra and I have all my odd classes (1,3,5) on my odd days and my evens on my even days... and I always have 30 minutes of nutrition (basically, snack time) between my first and second classes of the day, and I have lunch (40 minutes) inbetween my 2nd and 3rd class of the day... So I look at it as 4 Jewel listening opportunities: Before School, Nutrition, Lunch, and After School Before School i always try to listen to something like an Instant live or something acoustic and mellow, like Spirit. Nutrition, I usually listen to something full band like the Woodstock '99 or any other full band shows I have Lunch, get ready to kill me, lunch is usually Jewel-free. I mostly listen to some Sarah McLachlan and recently, started mixing in some Aimee Mann and Fiona Apple in there. After School, I like too make my own on-the-go playlist of whatever I'm feeling like... Sometimes theres Jewel in there... Sometimes not.... My One and Only STRICT Enforced Rule: I must listen to at least 40 minutes of Jewel per day, around 12 songs, MINIMUM.

On my way to work or classes is not a time I actually would like to listen to Jewel. It just makes me want to get done as soon as possible.

ok I am digging up some old threads, maybe I can breath life into them along with some other new members....
YES I listen to Jewel everyday, not as much as I did when I was allowed to wear my iPod @ work.... it sucks now without Jewel singing to me all night long (I do rotate with other artists, sometimes I need something hard or fast remixy to listen to, but mostly Jewel... or if I need mood music similar to a Jewel-style music it's somrtimes Aimee Mann, KT Tunstall, Chuck Prophet, Michael Penn, Natalie Imbruglia, James Blunt, and recently I am digging Fiona Apple..

I still listen to jewel everyday, even if it's just a little bit but recently I have been expanding my playlist to include other artists.
I vary depending on my mood but I love listening to Damien Rice and recently been listening to James Morrison. I love listening to KT Tunstall too. She's great. I really enjoy the music of Bjork too but I don't listen to her too much. Absence makes me appreciate her more each time. When I need to relax and I mean totally relax, I listen to Enigma and also Jose Gonzalez. When I'm in a depressed kinda mood, I listen to Alice in Chains but I would listen to them anytime really. Oh and Also Jeff Buckley. The really rocker side of me bangs out to Metallica, System of a Down and QOTSA's heavier tracks. When I just want some easy listening to appreciate when I read, I listen to Bach or Vivaldi. As you can see, I am quite eclectic in my taste in music. |

Everytime When I go to bed I hear at least 1 hour Jewels music. Some other artists I hear too are Jump Little Children (does anybody know this folkband? - a tip = cathedrals), The Cranberries and Evanescence. Often I hear 3 hours music everynight ^^
