anyone have guitar tabs for Long Slow Slide?

Jewel uses some form of an alternate tuning for Long Slow Slide, but I can't quite figure it out. I do know the tuning for three of the strings, but I'm so lost about the other three. DA???D.

I really suck at writing tabs, but it's pretty easy to play. I don't have my guitar or the song around me so here is what I can remember from memory:

I tried the DADF#AD, and it sounded damn close, but I kept messing with that F# because it was bugging me, I tried an E, and F, etc. and then I tried a G, and I think it feels more harmonic. So I did DADGAD. Give it a shot and tell me if you like that. I might be wrong though. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have any idea where to start. Thanks a bunch. Tell me*what you think.

DADF#GD - try this and tell me what you think. THE G sounds better than having an A in that place - try it and tell me how that sounds to you. Thanks

Hi Kyle - hope you had a nice Easter. So, is it DADF#AD? By the way, the fun bridgy part sounds really good when I play it - thanks for that!!! I bought the GAIW songbook for Voice, piano, and guitar, and it stinks for guitar. Get this, for the easy main two chords that you play back and forth in the entire song, they have (in the Hal Leonard songbook, Em11 and and regular D in standard tuning!!!! yuk!!!. It sounds NOTHING like it!!!!!! I actually wrote them a letter to tell them that the chords really aren't easy to play - one minute your hand is here and then in a split second you have to do something else crazy where one finger is on the 3rd fret and the other is on the 6th fret, it's like "okay, I NEVER saw Jewel play it like that, and my fingers aren't 20 inches long!!" They apologized and said that the book may not be an"exact transcription" for guitar. I told them that they should have just made it just for voice and piano if they couldn't logically do the guitar parts. We'll see if that sales rep writes me back!!!! You did a nice job from memory on those tabs.

Thanks, yeah, I have the other three books and while they aren't exact they do help you get started. I didn't try the DADGAD tuning because as I was tuning it my G-string snapped. (that's not a joke, it really happened!) But I don't see why G wouldn't sound any better, the song is basically in the key of D anyway so a G wouldn't sound bad.

When you get a chance (and another guitar string)do try this and tell me which you like better - your opinion please-, the straight D or this:
DADF#GD. It was nice corresponding with you. I hope I can ask you questions in the future here and there about chords or Jewel tabs. I just joined this forum. I love it!!! I was recently upset because I'm a big fan of old loveline shows with adam carolla and Dr, drew, and this site called "loveline Archive" just got taken down, so this jewel site consoles me!!!

For the song I really liked the way that DADF#GD sounded, and I think it is more accurate.

It was nice to correspond with Kyle. The song LSS was the only song I could really play on my guitar because I broke my wrist in late February , and LLS is easy to play because there isn't too much fancy finger work. Got the cast off yesterday but I'm really stiff and sore so I still can't play other songs. I'll have to be patient, do stretching and strengthening exercises before I'll feel comfortable with the guitar again. Until then, this Jewel forum is the second best thing!! I can't wait until we "crack the code" on another song in the future, Kyle!

I think 'Don't' is really easy to play if you haven't got a lot of movement in your wrist. There's very little picking in it and yet there's very little chords in it too. It's one of the easiest of Jewel's songs to play on guitar, in my opinion.
