I wonder if they'll actually be talking to him or show him perform at all, he is also a very talented musician, Homer is a very pretty place to visit. Highly recommend anyone to visit Alaska, especially in summer!!!

Alaska is very high on my list of places to see! It's a bit expensive to get to from Ireland and even if it takes 20 years before I can afford it, I'll still make it a point to get there some day. Just for the experience.

We don't actually get this show here in Ireland. We do have the Travel Channel but it's the UK version. I haven't seen that show listed so it's likely I won't get to see it

I have the same thoughts about getting over to Ireland. It's on the list of places my family is considering making a big family trip out of. Now that means alot of saving up, I have 4 kids!

Don't take this personally, and I'm sorry for bothering a good thread, but you don't want to go to Alaska. I did a survival course outside Fort Waianwright, it is so friggin cold there!

Alaska is nothing but snow and mad polar bears who hide and you can't find thhem, you're lucky if you can see them! It took me four days out there to find my way back to the base, you don't want to go to Alaska. It was September and it was STILL cold.

Alaska is the coldest place I've ever been in, and out of....nobody wants ot live there, ,why do you think Jewel makes the homestead jokes....becuase it sucks!

No...I DO want to go Alaska. I think I know how to make my own decisions but thanks for sharing.

Kelane - Big families are par for the course here. LOL 4 kids isn't far from average so you'll fit in nicely with the locals. And I'd be more than happy to bring you around this beautiful Green country.

I grew up in Alaska since I was 4. It's great & beautiful. But even I know better than to go to the north slope area, or the bush area in the fall or winter. That's why they sent you there for a SURVIVAL COURSE! Like I said go in the summer, when the whole state is beautiful, otherwise stick to Anchorage & that area.

No, man. SOmething tells me I won't be going back to Alalska any time soon. I was stuck their for four days, in the snow with not enough food. I didn't get a good impression of Alaska.

It was September and it was cold! The most beuaitful thing I saw in Alaska was the bird evacing me out! I never want to go back there again. I'd nevver seen snow before and it was up to my crotch, I couldn't walk, and it makes you so slow and tired. Like I said, I never want to see Alaska again.

Both Alaska and Ireland are on my list of places to go. Next up though is South Africa. I'm going there in October. I can't wait. Any of you been there? I'd love to hear what ya think.

Sorry, I guess this is off topic.

Was it just him performing or were they talking to him?

They showed a quick bit of him on stage, wished they had skown him singing more, you couldn't really hear his song very well. Then he talked about his grandfather doing his homestead thing. They mentioned that Atz Lee is a talented performer from a talented family of performers & they mention Jewel. He was a good interview, but it was short & at the very end.
