Stephenville, TX available on MySpace!
For those of you with MySpace pages, Jewel now has 'Stephenville, TX' added on her profile page. The only other songs available are 'Again and Again' and 'Good Day'. They just put this up in the last day or so...

Couldn't find a thread directly for what I want to say and didn't feel like making a whole new one, so this one will work... I just finally found a copy of the Stephenville, TX version from the standing still single and I love it. She sang this version when she was 25? I knew that song was one but when was that? 2000? 2001? oh well I guess that's about right... wow where has the past 6 or 7 years gone? Anyways I love how she says "another $hitty hotel"

Yes I have that from the Standing Still single too!! It's very good! Stephenville, TX is an older song of hers, and so is 1000 Miles Away, Last Dance Rodeo, and Satellite. I like that she included some of her older & longtime performed songs on her GAIW album. Like Jewel said, this album makes a good "bookend" to this chapter of her career.

oh yeah I loved when I watched the Life Uncommon dvd the other day when I got it and was watching Last Dance Rodeo come to be right in front of the camera, that was awesome I thought most of the songs on the album were old songs, like Satellite as well??

Oh yessss!!! I loved seeing that! Subconsciously I was finishing the lines for her!! That was cool. Making music can be a lot of just experimenting and see what happens.
When I first watched that DVD, I was a bit concerned with how raw it was. But by the end, I wouldn't have want to see it done any other way!! You really got a good feel about Jewel and where she's been in her life and career. There wasn't any slick editing or graphics, and it was perfect that way, I think!

I love how raw the dvd is. I really love the part where Nedra is talking about when she was in Europe singing at that bar or wherever and everyone was talking so loud, so she was concentrating on the first row. I know how that is cause earlier this year I drug my wife out in the snow to go see Aimee Mann and it was at this bar and everyone was so loud. My wife isn't really an Aimee fan like me but she was getting really pissed at all those people. Sorry to get off topic, I got all ranty.... but yeah I like that part of the dvd and the whole dvd really. Although I admit on the extra songs part of the dvd during WWSYS she is acting all stoned and giggly.. ?.
hey Christie you changed your other post to include satellite, now it makes mine senseless, like I said that for no reason.... tisk tisk

Yeah, sorry bout that. I was in my car listening to GAIW and I realized (before I read your post) that Satellite is an older song too.....so I edited my post. Oh well!!! :-)
