I LOVE the village sessions. I got ahold of it, I won't say how but it's awesome. I love the version of Waiting on the world to change on there... it's great. I also just bought one of the many live albums they have on iTunes. I bought the As/Is live from Austin, TX and I chose that over the others cause its the only one that had a live version of Bigger than My body which is my new favorite song. It's funny I never heard it when it was released but I love it now John just freaking rocks. I was really missing out all this time.
What is the tat you can see on the cover of Heavier things? It doesnt look like a fish or any of the tats you described.... it looks like a cell phone or something??? wtf?

We have the Try CD and I really love it, esp. Vultures and Who Did You Think I Was...his music has that great classic bluesy sound, that while it doesn't sound like say John Mellencamp I could see him sticking around like J.M. has and having that true sound throughout his career. It's just great stuff, has it's own sound and doesn't feel the need to throw in all the emo crap that is too prevelant these days...

WHAT! You are jealous of ME b/c I have the Village Sessions but yet you just saw him live?????? I'm jealous of that. I can't complain though b/c he will be playing in my hometown like an hour away on I believe the 15th and I've known for weeks now but I just don't have the extra money for it right now. Plus I don't know anyone who likes John Mayer who would go with me. My wife is usually pretty good about me dragging her to shows she won't enjoy, but her work schedule would conflict anyways
I'm sure I will see him one day, he isn't going anywhere. Just like I will see Jewel one day too Andrea you are right about him not giving in to the emo thing. I am glad I got into his music and TRY! is an excellent album. I love every song on that album. I love every song on Continuum, I love 98% of the songs on Heavier Things and I like a good percent of Squares, I just need to give it more play on my ipod for me to get to know it. Just that now I am too busy w/ all the other albums. Oh btw Jessica and Robbie I really owe it to you for making me a fan and thanks! Oh and let me know if you have iTunes or can play m4a files and then PM me if you can, you'll appreciate it. I promise

Andrea if you like TRY! then you most definately need to listen to Continuum. Gravity and Vultures are also on Continuum and the whole album is just freakin awesome.
