I got a new toy!

Yay, I got a new laptop! Well new to me!

I'm really pleased with it and have been hankering to get a new one for ages and with my home PC acting the arse that past few months and getting worse, it was time I invested in something more suited to my needs.

It now means I can browse anywhere in the house. YAY!

I am going to use my old PC for parts. It's beyond repair. Needs a lot of new stuff so I think it's better to be cannabalised. I already have about 5 old machines and a few old laptop parts in my office. I fix what I can but even my own pc was beyond it. It's an excellent 3GHz machine with a kick ass graphics card but I never really used that potential. The laptop isn't that fast or has the same kick ass graphics but I never used all that power anyway so I don't really notice a difference other than a slower boot time.

I am just loving it!

Ay good for you Kiera ;) just what i could do with right now :P , and 'cannabalised' i love that word for some strange reason, especialy when its to do with computers :P Anyway enjoy the cannibalisation and yer new machine :compbash: :comp:

It's a word I have used for years. I suppose it's the best way to describe it. We have a lab in work just full of old PC & Laptop parts and so having to go into detail about using parts from one old machine to fix another just takes too long to describe. One word covers it all. One machine eating another in a weird techno kind of way.

I have to send my computer to texas to get the cooling system replaced. Oh god.... TEXAS!!! EWWWWWWWW......

Ah Kyle - had a feeling that was the problem. Pity it needs to be sent away but at least it will get replaced.

But like Chris says, Jewel is in Texas so it isn't that bad!
