I've had a crap day and I need to let of steam. I have worked my butt of at work today, nothing went right. Every PC I went to ended up having another problem to resolve. Was it easy to fix? Hell no! So when I get to the number of calls I have closed today, it looks like I did frig all. AND....to top it all off, the lads I work with sat on their rears doing nothing!
Ok, I needed to vent. Now it's your turn! |

I love my job! :D
Working in IT isnt easy though. Sometimes it can be really rewarding, but othertimes it can be :censored::censored::censored::censored:e, especially when we get 'user error' lol, my god you would have thought that working at a University the staff would be pc literate...la la la la  nah, some are right THICK! The only day when i have a bad one is when the coffee machines broke lol :lalala: Dave.

I've been here 5? years. Feels like 10. Hopefully today will be better.
It's just good to have a place to rant, especially when you know no-one around you wants to listen to your moaning. Well anyway, I think you know what I mean. Dave, you and I are in similar if not the same job. I too hate stupid 'user error' faults. So easily avoided and what a whole lot of time that is wasted on fixing them. And I am a big caffeine addict. I am not to be around if there is no coffee. It is the one thing I look forward to when I get in (they have great coffee here) so if I miss out on it....WATCH OUT! I am like a tyrannt. |

I wanted to work in IT (I do sales/admin for a construction company at the mo)... but have sort of swayed against the idea for now as any jobs round here that I could take in an IT support role or similar pay less than what I'm on now, and there's no way I'm taking a cut in wages! Plus, I've grown to dislike computers after working with them for so long one way or another!! I could easily do an IT support job but I think I'd get wound up too easily ;)
I've applied for the job of being a PA to the Principal at a local Sixth Form college... it actually really appeals to me the more I think of it - something a bit more varied than an office 9 to 5 job. I've cut out the caffeine near enough! I drink water all day from the water cooler :) Though I must admit I had 2 or 3 cups of tea last week. I've had one today but that'll be my lot I promise!! |

I know how you feel Andrea. I have just recovered from an awful turn I took after reading it. It is simply ghastly.
