Greatest Hits - TEST PROMO CD-R Tracklisting
My friend works for the promotional and marketing team for Atlantic Records. And even though Jewel did not renew her contract a greatest hits compilation is set for an autumn release. However, this was on a pre-draft release schedule. Basically it’s when the artist and the record company hope to have the compilation out by. Atlantic has pressed two different versions of the greatest hits compilation. The track listing was pretty accurate to the track listing on Wikipedia, I noticed someone input an entry regarding this. Any way’s he took a copy of the test promo CD-R. There is however no artwork, it simply states Jewel – Greatest Hits – Test Version 1, Jewel – Greatest Hits – Test Version 2. The album is in it’s early stages of development and the tracklisting can change at anytime.
The tracklisting displayed below, is exactly how it is displayed on the inlay of the promo. Version 1 Who Will Save Your Soul [Radio Version] 4.02 You Were Meant For Me [Radio Edit] 3.50 Foolish Games [Single Edit] 4.02 – Batman & Robin (soundtrack) Morning Song [Radio Mix] 3.34 (US bonus track) Hands [Radio Edit] 3.46 Down So Long [Radio Remix] 4.19 Jupiter (Swallow The Moon) [Radio Version] 3.44 What’s Simple Is True [Radio Mix] 3.39 – Ride With The Devil (soundtrack) Life Uncommon [Live Single Version] – 4.23 (Charity Single) Standing Still [LP Version] 4.32 Break Me [Radio Remix - Intro] 4.05 Serve The Ego [Wayne Rodriguez Club Radio Eidt] 3.49 This Way [Radio Mix] 4.10 Intuition [Radio Mix] 3.13 Stand [Single Mix] 3.16 2 Become 1 [Single Mix] 4.19 Goodbye Alice In Wonderland [LP Version] 5.56 Again and Again [Album Version] 3.57 Good Day [Radio Version] 3.49 Only One Too [Lenny B Radio Edit] 3.20 Quest For Love [Single Edit] 3.15 Arthur & The Invisibles (soundtrack) Version 2 Who Will Save Your Soul [Radio Version] 4.02 You Were Meant For Me [Radio Edit] 3.50 Foolish Games [Single Edit] 4.02 – Batman & Robin (soundtrack) Hands [Radio Edit] 3.46 Down So Long [Radio Remix] 4.19 Jupiter (Swallow The Moon) [Radio Version] 3.44 What’s Simple Is True [Radio Mix] 3.39 – Ride With The Devil (soundtrack) Standing Still [LP Version] 4.32 Break Me [Radio Remix] 4.05 This Way [Radio Mix] 4.10 Intuition [Radio Mix] 3.13 Stand [Single Mix] 3.16 2 Become 1 [Single Mix] 4.19 Goodbye Alice In Wonderland [LP Version] 5.56 Again and Again [Album Version] 3.57 Good Day [Radio Version] 3.49 I noticed that someone stated they didn’t know there was a “radio remix” of Down So Long. The only difference between with the “radio remix” and the “album version” is that the radio remix emphasizes more on the guitar. It’s really hard to even tell, but if you listen to them both back to back, you can tell. |

Well, thank you for that. Nice post, however, I hate being a burden, but I don't want to be the only one to say this and cause trouble. I can not read that hardly at all. Could you please make that I little bit larger, thank you.

I don't want to be negative but that tracklist is obvious. It will surely include Jewel's hits, but will most likely include new songs/covers and those are the interesting things. So far, it's still all rumor-ish.

Thanks for this post! It's pretty predictable...hopefully the initial release we'll see a double disc with b-sides or maybe a dual-disc (as much as I hate the idea) with the videos on the reverse.

Well thanks Robbie. I didn' know or think to try whatever you did, but I appreciate that. I really do.
Jolly Good, I'm glad to see there are some of the radio versions on the album. (I always kinda liked those. I think Jewel adds some more attitude and some spunk to the music video versions in comparison to the album versions, just look at Foolish Gmaes or You Were Meant For Me.) |

I checked this with Jewel's management a couple of months back and it was claimed that there were no plans for a greatest hits. I'm still dubious because if Jewel's Management don't know, then it seems like it would not be happening.
Then again, maybe they didn't want to share the information just yet. So it could be true. Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time! |

Cool! I'm rooting for version one. Once it's released (assuming it's a for-sure and not just a rumor), hopefully they'll have some sense to release her videos to DVD as well. However I'm a little disappointed about having to wait 'til fall because I thought I'd get it this summer. Oh well.

Well they're only test promos, and are in it's early phase, so of course nothing is set in concrete. But it's nice to see that Atlantic is starting to plan on it.

yawn. All i have to do is burn those songs onto a cd and Bam! greatest hits album. Nothing special here. How about some new songs, live versions of her hits, something to spice up the pot because that cd is lame. Then again we are talking about Atlantic here so.....
