her new song "Perfectly Clear"...isn't it just "Studies In Love #12" retitled?
I finally got to listen to her new song "Perfectly Clear" in the library section on jeweljk.com, and to my surprise, it sounded very familiar...wasn't it "Studies In Love #12"?

Yep, same song, just with a more recognizable title.

Cool, good song, nice to see she decided to put it on a record. Given the catalog she has, she wouldn't have to write any new songs for years if she didn't want to!
Another question... "Loved By You", "Anybody But You", "Angel"...are these all the same song?

"Loved By You" is "Anybody But You" re-titled but "Angel" is a different song. "Angel" is also known as "Cowboy Waltz" or "Angel (Cowboy Waltz)"

Oh ok. I was confused because the two songs sound alike and in the library on her website her LBY is called "Loved By You (Cowboy Waltz)"

i like "studies in love #12" better than "perfectly clear". i also like "anybody but you" better than "loved by you". but oh well, the songs are still wonderful.

Yeah I think the original titles were more clever and unique with an indie sound to them whereas the newer titles have a generic yet memorable poppy sound to them...so I guess it's a packaging/marketing kind of thing. The title "Loved By You" makes me think of Marilyn Monroe from Some Like It Hot. Boop-boop-be-doo!

here's a clip of Jewel talking about why she titled it Studies in Love #12. I cut off the song at the end though.
