so by the time all the numbers are in she should be at 28,000. Thats actually really good considering she did 49,000 the first week. Most artists have at least a 50% drop the second week. Most of the time its even more than that.

also it looks like Alanis is going to sell even less than Jewel did in her first week. I'm kinda surprised at that.

Wow that is surprising (not that I'd take it from either of them I like them both) but Alanis has had her best reviews since Jagged Little Pill with this album.

Jewell was around 21,000 -56% and 29th (I think) and Alais was around 70,000 and she is # 8, like Jewel was last week, but it took higher #'s to be # 8 this week. But the good news is Jewel should still be high in the country charts, she should be # 3 so that is good.

She jumped from 29 to 26 on the top albums chart for last week. Leno, Kimmel, and Nashville star must have worked.

really? I mean, with all the promotions she did last week (Leno etc.), Jewel only sold 17k :| .I know sales have been plummeted recently but with all her effort, this is still too low.

I think that's really good. Usually her albums have fallen significantly week after week. This is only a modest drop. Maybe she's leveled off already and will sell around 20k every week?

no way. The promotions peaked last week. Where else could she continue to promote the album beside her supporting tour?

I still think GOLD is unlikely for PC.

or maybe Im being too pessimistic, after what happened to Vanessa Carlton's last album.

I have the same doubts as you... But "Heroes & Thieves" wasn't as well promoted as "Perfeclty Clear" is.

Vanessa did Leno, Regis, TRL and a lot more. (like Jewel now)
So I think its safe to say that "Heroes & Thieves" was promoted well on TV by talk shows.
End up selling only 18k 1st week :| I cant believe that

If being with Brad Paisley on Tour isn't enough to generate PC sales I am not sure anything will. Brad Paisley has a huge following and his concerts are not small ones, so Jewel is playing infront of a lot of country fans right now.

Brad Paisley always has very successful tours, so consider it an honor for Jewel to join in on all the fun! She will be exposed to TONS of country fans, I promise you! I think it would be cool if at one point of the show that Brad would bring Jewel back up onstage with him to sing a couple songs! That would give her even more exposure. It's all good!

Jewel's singing 2 songs off PC on the tour. How can you play 2 songs and then say "buy my cd". If she wanted to do the country tour she should play songs off her country album, no?
