Jewel to Host Season Five of 'NASHVILLE STAR'
Just found this. Wow! I guess this rules out any touring early next year but we'll see her on TV every week beginning in January

Wow, that's a big show in the US isn't it? Don't think it's broadcast in the UK though.
Chris.

Excellent news!!!! Thank so much for bringing it to the JKF.
This will be BRILLIANT for Jewel and hopefully spur on a country album and some more tour dates afterward. |

Wow that's awesome, now I just need to either get cable, or find someone to record this for me every week

I never heard of it.
How many more tours do you think she will do? I really have to see her, If I dont, I will die.

I think the country music industry & fans will love her! Country fans are very loyal (I am one, myself!). If she gets up there and plays a few country songs throughout the show (I'm hoping they'll have her perform!), she'll definitely earn new fans. And if Ty is there and people realize who he is, well that can't hurt either!
Many people don't realize that Jewel grew up living on the land, raising animals, and tending to horses. Yes, they probably know she's from Alaska but she's lived a country lifestyle not only in her early years, but now continues on with living on the ranch with Ty in Texas. Like she says, it's come full circle for her. She's out there with the guys with the cattle & horses all the time. She's a country girl at heart!! Soon America will know what we've known all along!

I doubt she'll perform. At least IMO a host should just not perform while hosting.

do the hosts get up and sing on that show? I would love to hear her cover some really old country songs like some June Carter Cash or some Loretta Lynn or something... even Dolly Parton, that would be cool... Jewel singing 9 to 5, ha!
