Hello all,
I went to the Steve Poltz concert last night in Indianapolis. It was a fantastic show! His version of YWMFM got pretty crazy...I could barely catch my breath it was so funny. Anyway, talked him into putting the Federales photos up on his site. Check it out at http://poltz.com Mike, these are definately photos for your catalog. B) |

Yes, I forgot to include a thank you in my first post. Thank you. The first one of Jewel holding the automatic rifle is going to be a classic. I wouldn't be surprised if these don't end up posted somewhere in the mainstream media. They are certainly newsworthy.
Thank you, April.

I can't actually take all the credit. After he told the story, I asked him during the break if it was true and he said he had photos as proof. I told him I would love to see them. Then once back on stage he asked the audience if he should put them up on his site. Of course everyone cheered.
Thanks to Steve for offering us Jewel fans proof of the previously unbelievable Federales story. |

Drinking beer with Federales and busting drug dealers in Mexico rank right up there with jumping off buildings for me. They're both lucky to be alive at all. Being a Mexican drug cop has got to be more hazardous than any other job. The drug warlords in Mexico have tremendous power and kill Mexican authorities all the time. It's a great story to tell, but not the kind of thing you would repeat willingly.
I travelled down the Mexican coast some in my younger days too. I remember camping south of Ensenada and waking up to see the California surfers riding the waves breaking over the bow of a large shipwreck. Now I feel like I've got to much to live for to go camping in Mexico. Plus the last time I ate in Mexico was over 10 years ago and I was sick for three solid days. Food poisoning is no joke.

This is the most awesome post!! What a scoop with these photos!! We have all heard the story, wondered about some "artistic license" but here is the proof!! Steve Poltz is hilarious too. Got ":censored::censored::censored::censored:ty" with him in a bar called Mulligan's in Manchester,VT after a charity concert Jewel did with him. She was a good girl and went back to the hotel, but not Steve. He partied with us and his band until they threw us out at 2AM!!
Great photos and thanks for getting him to do this!! B) B) |

well it's still kind of funny. I guess if I were to do that I'd have to make sure the person had a good sense of humor.

Back to the original topic - These photos are the biggest thing to happen for Jewel fans in a long time. How long before a bootleg turns up with these photos on the cover? I bet it's in the works if it already hasn't been done yet.
