I didn't really mishear words. I was just confused when I heard water kisses in the song break me. I was like what the hell are those?

Suppose that's just Jewel's poetic license at work again. I love that line actually.
I heard another one in the car on the way home today. In 'Standing Still' I always mishear "With the scenery flyin' by" as 'with the scene and reply and by" I know, it makes absolutely no sense but it sounds more like that than what she is actually saying. Well it does to me. lol |

ok one thing I just realised about Standing Still that I never even questioned it, so I never really looked it up. I was fliping through the This Way insert the other day and I happened to look at the Standing Still lyrics, the part where she says "sweet sorrow, he said call tomorrow" ??? WHAT!
All along this whole time I've been thinking she was saying "Sweet sorrow is the goal tomorrow" and my wife was there when I was like WHAT!? and I told her and she said she always thought it was IS THE GOAL TOMORROW as well. I know other people heard it like that as well. I still can barely hear her saying "he said call tomorrow"

I ALSO thought that Gary, until you just mentioned it! I listened to this song just yesterday and that's what I sang along with it!! Now that I think of it though, why would anyone want for sorrow to be your goal, and especially tomorrow??!! :-)

ha ha I don't know, maybe she wanted to feel down or something... it seemed to flow before, but the real lyrics make sense now. I swear it still sounds like goal tomorrow when I listen to it. I'll have to go back and listen to my live versions, usually I can hear lyrics better on live tracks

I have one:
In Rosy & Mick The real lyrics are "She let him in he lifted up her dress Like an apology he began to kiss her neck." What I heard: "She let him in he lifted up her dress Like an apology began to kiss her breast." Keep in mind I'm not generally a pervert, but the first time I heard this song was shortly after the TRL photobooth incident. |

For some reason in last dance rodeo i Always mistake "All you need is a home" as "Alle is a hoeeeeeeeee" or "your knee is a hole"

Jewel sometimes says "neck" and sometimes says "breast." The only time I've ever heard her say "neck" in that line was on the Humphrey's By The Bay DVD.

She showed her boob, nipple and all, in the TRL photobooth. I'm too lazy to look for it right now, but Google it. You'll see, it's her.
