I want WWSYS followed by Angels by Robbie Williams.
Both songs mean the world to me and so many memories. I also will want my ashes scattered in the centre circle of Stamford Bridge (chelsea fc) - for the american soccer fans! so! - dont forget everyone, this thread is important - plus i need to write my WILL lalalala dave.

eeerm, OK...anyway, Once a longtime ago, in a place far far away (thats where my stupid mind once was...probably still is) i wanted 'Pure F**king Armageddon' by a Scandinavian band called Mayhem played at my funeral, thats a very silly thing of the past...as if anyones gonna play a song like THAT at my shoddy death, but i always have been lean mean and obscene!
Personally and in all honesty and seriousness, i'd really like Anathema's "One Last Goodbye" to be played....or the fantastic song "Sleepless"

Another song I like is LeeAnn Womack's song "I Hope You Dance"....Not as a song for me (cause I'm dead), but really for everyone else to not take life for granted.
I Hope You Dance I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat But always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty handed I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance I hope you dance I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Living might mean taking chances But they're worth taking Lovin' might be a mistake But it's worth making Don't let some hell bent heart Leave you bitter When you come close to selling out Reconsider Give the heavens above More than just a passing glance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) I hope you dance (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) (Where those years have gone) I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance I hope you dance I hope you dance (Time is a real and constant motion always) I hope you dance (Rolling us along) I hope you dance (Tell me who) (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) I hope you dance (Where those years have gone) (Tell me who) I hope you dance (Wants to look back on their youth and wonder) (Where those years have gone)

What a morbid thought...but I would like "Good Riddance" by Green Day. It seems fitting. Cliche but fitting.

I'm having 'Return to Innocence' by Enigma played at my funeral. It has been my favourite song of all time since I first heard it. It's a very positive song that has gotten my through a lot of rough times and I get very emotional every time I hear it.
Here are the lyrics: Thats not the beginning of the end Thats the return to yourself The return to innocence. Love - devotion Feeling - emotion Love - devotion Feeling - emotion Dont be afraid to be weak Dont be too proud to be strong Just look into your heart my friend That will be the return to yourself The return to innocence If you want, then start to laugh If you must, then start to cry Be yourself dont hide Just believe in destiny Dont care what people say Just follow your own way Dont give up and use the chance To return to innocence Thats not the beginning of the end Thats the return to yourself The return to innocence Dont care what people say Follow just your own way Follow just your own way Dont give up, dont give up To return, to return to innocence. If you want then laugh If you must then cry Be yourself dont hide Just believe in destiny. And here's the video:

M€rio, I could go on and on about Enigma! Michael Cretu is a genius and I absolutely adore his music. Return to Innocence is just so beautiful. My favourite album is 'The Cross of Changes' but I love them all really in different ways. I fully recommend that album as well as the first one 'MCMXC a.d' and also the 4th album 'The Screen Behind the Mirror' if you weren't able to buy them all.
I totally recommend going to www.enigmamusic.com and please check out the forum (which my husband owns and runs) www.enigmamusic.com/forum where you can learn absolutely loads about Enigma. Not only that, they've secured an extremely rare and exclusive interview with the man himself which is coming up soon. (sorry for the plug but the timing has been coincidental) |
