Default Jewel sang at Kenny Chesney's Birthday bash!

Came across this piece of news today from the Tennessean.com website about Jewel getting up and singing 'Sweet Home Alabama' at his birthday bash in Nashville.

Quote:
The most famous bar band in the world got together Monday night on Demonbreun Street, played for more than three hours and then disbanded.
The occasion was Kenny Chesney's 39th birthday party, the venue was the funky little Tin Roof, and the scene was surreal. Chesney leaked word to his fan club members online, and by midday the Tin Roof was Nashville's top tourist destination.
OAS_AD('300x250_1'); OAS_rn = '001234567890'; OAS_rns = '1234567890';OAS_rn = new String (Math.random()); OAS_rns = OAS_rn.substring (2, 11);document.write('');
When the show got going at 6:30 p.m., Chesney and his band ran through a relatively normal set list, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. By night's end, the band had gone beyond Chesney's material and into Rolling Stones, U2 and John Mellencamp covers, all to the screeching delight of the shoulder-to-shoulder audience.
There was Chesney, onstage with Kix Brooks, singing "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone."
There was Chesney, onstage with Gretchen Wilson, singing "Hurts So Good."
There was Chesney, onstage with Wilson and John Rich and Jewel and Montgomery Gentry, singing "Sweet Home Alabama." And with much of that crew, plus 3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold, doing the Stones' "Honky Tonk Women."

Speaking of John Rich I was just reading entertainment weekly the other night at work and they were talking about how a lot of singer songwriters who were considered pop are now taking on country. Jewel was in there with a small paragraph on how she thinks country is now going to get a bigger fanbase. Anyways it said she was working with John Rich on her country album.

Here are a couple more references to Jewel and John Rich working together...

http://www.mlive.com/grpress/goinggo...s/2007_03.html
"The big surprise was John Rich summoning pop star Jewel to the stage and enticing her to sing her early hit "You Were Meant For Me."

With the crowd doing its best to stay quiet for the meditative love song and John Rich providing a beautiful harmony, it was truly a CRS moment that will be remembered for years to come."

and http://omnisoundstudios.com/news/entry?page=1
which says he was producing for Jewel back in October.

Also they'll both be at tonight's tribute concert in Nashville for Buck Jones.

Chris.

The only reason I'd heard of him is cos he was married to Renee Zellwegger.

Oh is that who it is? NowI see.
Wasn't he done for fraud or something or was that the reason she cited divorce?

Jewel is hanging with all the right country people. If John Rich is helping her with her album there is a good chance that country radio will play her songs. Right now John Rich is very popular in country. Than Jewel needs to get Tim McGraws own record label to pick her up and she will be on her way. This could be an interesting year.

yeah it was cited for fraud and I heard in most cases when they put fraud it usually means that they turned out to be gay but Kenny is denying all the rumors and I don't think he is either.
