Isn't it amazing how time flies? It just seems like just a few weeks ago that we exchanged e-mails about having our babies (OK, to be clear for everyone, not a baby between Keira and me).

She's now three. She was a spoiled tyrant during the trip, because she had her grandparents, the uncles and aunts catering to her needs, and so my wife and I just saw her get more and more "needy" and demanding as time went on. I remember the moment when she refused to get off a ride (one of those small merry go rounds) and so she screamed and sprouled out on the floor, as people walked by....

BUT, she is back to her old self now that we are back. Surprisingly, she went right back on the normal schedule very quickly.

For those of you who live in Europe - I envy you! It was so easy to hop on from Heathrow to Dusseldorf, it was like taking a commute plane from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and yet it's a whole different country (sort of like how LA is not like SF, I suppose). And the autumn colors were so beautiful - in the Bay Area here in California, it's still pretty warm and many of the trees are still green. In some respects, we sort of skip the fall colors and go straight to winter here.

And the food was so good! German food is not just beer, sausages and sauerkrauts, guys! There's a whole lot more to Germany.
