Jewel's Performance on Nashville
I know the thread for the stated that Jewel's performance was for Feb. 6th, but I was wathcing today and she perofrmed!
She sang a song that I never heard before nor did they gieva title. She said she wrote it in memeory of living on the ranch with her father. The song was beautiful, rich with vocal range, and Jewel yodeled slowly at the end. I really enjoyed it. On a side not, the chemitsry between the Jewle and her co host on teh show is somewhat lacking, as Jewel has tremendous poise while her cohost is rather casual. Just find the mode and energy uneven and off. Mayeb it was just today as thisis the firts time that I've watched the hsow. |

She performed the song (I Don't Want to Be Loved By) Anybody But You tonight on Nashville star...One of the better performances of the song I thought. And hopefully that was something that will help ease her way into the eyes of country music fans.

I just got done watching the show, her performance on the song about her father was beauitful.
It was fun to watch her yodel out the ending, which I've never heard her yodel before, but now I can say that I have. Brings back memories missed of my fathehr....beauitful song with a wonderful premise, and makes me forgive my father for everything that happened between us. I was also surprised, along with her performance, to see her lovely red dress. Anybody else like it as much as I did? Aside from the memories it gives me, I really loved her song, it was quite beautiful and touched my heart. I couldn't help but clap in front of the television when it was over, absolutely lovely in every form! Flawless! |

I've heard the song before, and I thought then it was AMAZING! And perfect for country radio!! I haven't watched the show yet, I've got it recorded. Will probably get to it this weekend. CAN'T WAIT!!! :-)

I've had a sneaky word in my ear that Jewel MAY be releasing her country album very soon after NS finishes! Maybe that's why she played this song as it will be on the new album and she wants people to get a tease taster

I also remember reading a thread somewhere that had Jewel's NS performance as Feb.8, and I was surprised to see that she was on this week too! I'll have to see if I can find it. It was put up before NS even started, I believe or shortly after it started.

I thought she was going to sing angel the way she was talking about it...Her intro to the song on NS was almost identical to the intro she gives to Angel on CMT.com's vid section. But she did indeed sing Anybody But You.

Ya know, as much as I like that song, I don't think it was the right one for that crowd. I think Stephenville, Tx would have gone down better than that. It seems like mainly Jewel fans would fully appreciate Anybody but You. I couldn't be wrong.
I still like it though |
