 I'm not even going to try it!!! of all the books i read on its history i know only a few words...but i aint going to even bother  Kyle as far as i know speaks it well!?

that's cool that you can write so much German, we had a friend from Austria living with us for a while and I made very pitiful attempts at learning German, how long did it take you to learn it?

I took German in High school too, but I'm afraid to speak it around people that can actually speak it because mind sounds weird from being around Amish people growing up.

Well, thank you Andrea! I took it under public sutdy for three years, private study for one year, and a total of including that with indvidual independent study, six years.
I was trying during my first year at college to become a linguist for the governemtn, but unfurtunately, they needed some form of collegiate education or native ability, and I had neither at the time. But, I like to think that I have a first class handle on my studies, and I have every faith in my linguistic abilities. I'm just waiting for the girl to respond back! Jones BTW, Ironically enough when I first was introduced into a Reserve Officers Training Corps unit, since I studied German so hheavily, they all nicknamed me 'The German'. Thhe nickname stuck for several years and I still hahve friends who I will see out somewhere who simply call me not by my surname, but 'Hey, German!' It's funny, older times of younger youth. |
