actually she's been defending her album and says it's her favorite -
haunted has that rawness like that of who will save your soul - one of her biggest hits - of course she's going to referrence it! |

by that time - i wonder if i'll even be enough of a fan anymore - that's worse than the spirit to this way wait -[QUOTE] :(
Hey Michael, are you serious? i don't think it's the right time to turn your back away as a Jewel fan. (oh yes! i'm sensitive about leaving jewel by anyone, most especially by the one who mastered one of my favorite jewel fansite) the harder i try to promote her music in the philippines the more that i feel the need of letting everyone to hear her music. i get excited everytime i see these people reactions  whenever i play WWSYS? from "A LIFE UNCOMMON " or "WOODSTACK99" there i get the reward of being a jewel fan, it really makes me proud -when the kitty gets hungry it goes meow! meow! meow!- i'm so proud! well...thanks - though i doubt i'll ever stop loving jewel - i'd defend her to death (well maybe not so much death) - but it's just an expression of disappointment - hopefully not complete withdrawal - but yah - i wonder if i'll even like the new stuff
since i did fall in love with 0304 after awhile - i dunno what to expect - as with that jewel site - i dunno what to do...lol |

What's wrong with discussing the topic? Discussing topic that may sometimes be controversial is what having a forum is all about. I don't think it would be right to ban anyopne just for bringing up the topic. Discussing Jewel's feelings on bootlegs has always been a very popular topic on all Jewel boards that I have ever been a part of. I really think you should encourage discussion on this topic rather than trying to cut it off. I have seen information showing that artists that encourage taping and free trading of their live concerts have increased sales of concerts and official releases. I think we should have the right to dissent as long as we don't actually post links to bootlegs here what's the big deal? I think we all understand the rules of this forum - no trading in the forums. Clear enough, but discussion of who supports the idea of trading is another matter altogether. I can't see that anybody should have issues with you and Kiera for having a no trading policy in the forums. Dave.

I think this got slightly out of hand. My tone should have been sarcasm. I was kind of kidding too but yes the rules stand. I just get blamed for everything.
Anyway, let's just forget about that and move on with the topic at hand...Jewel's article on her next album, if she ever decides to get off her butt and do it. Procrastination!!! Tut! |

DISCLAIMER I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. I AM ONLY KIDDING. And yeah, Michael... Use the cut-down version... its called ShareAzaa... there're no ads and stuff with that. And yeah, the founders of Kazaa were dragged before the court here in Oz and heaps of computers were taken by police from their Sydney and Melbourne offices. The Kazaa lady said she's gonna fight this down to her last dollar. Kazaa's case is this: Filesharing doesn't necessarily mean piracy. Kazaa can not be held responsible for the stuff that people share. If a person stabs someone with a kitchen knife... should the kitchen appliance shop (where the knife was sold) be held responsible ??? Easy... the President Formerly Known as Intrepid ;)

First the ASPCJ goes belly-up... then Jewel casually tell us she ain't gonna release her album until the cows come home... and now... Dave's gonna kick me outa the forum for agreeing with Jewel about bootlegs. It's tough being a Jewel fan these days. :( Yeah Mike... it didn't take too long before Dave became just like Kiera... Drunk With Power !!! :omg: Anyways... I'm brushing up on my French... I think Emilie still loves me... she ain't threatened to kick me out of her forum... yet. ;) .....

I haven't posted here in a while, mainly because I've slowly lost interest, but I'm kinda skeptical about the album being released next year. The paragraph that MrSoAndSo quoted just seems... off, I guess. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Eh, I edited the post. For those curious, I basically said that people on the other official forum (the JeweLink Street Team board) can share songs on there. You sign up HERE and log in HERE. I'm not saying that the mods here should if they don't think it's a good idea, I'm just pointing out that there are other places you can go to.

Thanx Princess :)
Seriously, its up to Kilcherians to share as many links/forums/sites/whatever as possible. The once heaps of Jewel sites have now dwindled to maybe half-a dozen or so... and... check their hit-counters... most are lucky to score more than a pitiful 10 hits a day. Jewel takes such a long time (usually a couple of years) between drinks so bootlegs (or Instant Live) are the only songs we get to listen to. It would not be an exageration to say that bootlegs are pretty much the bread and butter of the Jewel community. If it weren't for bootlegs (and the sites that provide them), we might as well store our Jewel albums in the nearest museum and simply move on to a more prolific artist. If Jewel's management/PR team/whoever got off their arses, then there'd be no need for pirated sh!t or bootlegs. The daring sites and the bootleggers have always promoted Jewel better than any of her so-called professionals. Ban the bootleggers... and yeah... this forum would have even less members than the hopelessly pathetic 50 or 60 members it has now... the once lively Google (alt.fan.jewel) forum died yonks ago. Jewel is a MULTI-PLATINUM artist for godsakes... she should have thousands of forum members and Jewel-site surfers. Fans like Kowa have tested the boundries... and thankfully we've all downloaded great stuff from his site. The ASPCJ utilizing Kazaa (not the website) have also capped and dubbed a couple of things here and there.... mainly coz the so-called "OFFICIAL SITE" has never been anything other than a pile of sh!t. There you go... who said I could never post a serious message... how serious was that ??? Justin ...

I was at Sam Goody over the weekend and her new album release date was for this September. I'm so confused.
