You know...i just had to comment on this, Both words "Faggot" & "Jew" are such both powerful words, its the precept behind them both that means alot to certain individuals its hurtful for one, and being 'labeled' the other...well we all are really, but the characteristics of the person that are both almost equaly repressed by the masses! nasty old lot some of us eh! i find nout wrong with POY, its a sweet meaningful song! its Adrian i'v never got to grips with.

...and am i right in thinking that Jewel gets a tad bit emotional in that song?

...and about Adrian, is this a song about someone that Jewel once knew? coz she sounds a slight bit emotional half way through the song!!! just curious

Me too. I mean you can actually hear her cry. I dont believe that she didnt know a boy named adrian.....and maybe she was "Mary Aperson" in the song?

Its one of my favorites from the album.

The Adrian song is so ironic for our family. My kids grew up to Pieces of You being played all the time and loved all the songs and knew words off by heart. I have a son Adrian and the kids all loved that song, even tho it is a sad song. Here is the irony - Our Adrian suffered a brain injury at age 17 and for 6 months was just like Adrian in the song! 4 yrs down the track he is a little better but will always be looked after, Was that song prophetic or wat!!!
