Joy: Anyone hear any of Jewel's Christmas songs being played on the radio yet?
I've heard "Winter Wonderland" played several times so far this year! I love that yodel-scat thing she does. I'm excited to hear that amazing and underrated album finally getting some exposure. I think I've heard WW played a couple times before (and I think I heard her Christmas "Hands" once or twice one year but I don't remember) but not to this extent I'd be excited to hear more cuts played, especially "O Holy Night" where she gives one of her best vocal performances ever. Anyway, I'm playing Joy non-stop this season, just like every winter, and I gotta buy a new copy because the one I have right now has gotten pretty scratched and dented up because people keep "borrowing" it.

as much as I hate Wal-Mart, they play EVERY SINGLE SONG from Joy. It makes me happy all night long. I mean they play everything from Ave Maria to I wonder as I wander. It's awesome

Anyway, since my last post I've heard WW a few more times on the radio and just a few minutes ago I heard "Hands (Christmas Version)"!

yes! today my best friend (who is not a jewel fan) gave me joy as an early christmas present, so i have the weekend to enjoy it before the season ends. i think she got a used copy, though; the case is kinda scratched. and is half the cd packet supposed to be upside-down, or is that just my copy?

Hark! The Herald Angel Sing
I never thought they'll play any song from Joy album here in the Philippines, surprisingly, one of our local FM stations played "Hark! The Herald Angel Sing" where the DJ mentioned, "Jewel's version is one of the best versions of this classic Christmas song."

They've been playing random songs from the album incessantly on my local christmas station. I've also heard some playing at walmart.

Cool, my radio stations just keep playing "Winter Wonderland" and "Hands (Christmas Version)"
BTW did anyone hear Jewel's version of "What Child Is This?" from Christmas at the Vatican? I just found it on Itunes and I never heard of it before so it was a pleasant surprise for me. Was that her mom singing with her again?
