Cool, usually when I am about to blow my top I have to listen to Godsmack or something...probably counterproductive though!

I didn't mean cry in an upsetting way, just in an general emotional way.
I cry almost everytime I hear 'Return to Innocence' by Enigma, but it's a feeling I love getting because it reminds me how powerful music is and how much it means to me. It can be quite exhilerating. BUt yeah, there are songs out there (not by Jewel) that upset me in a sad way. I steer clear of those when possible. They're feelings I don't want to induce. |

no, that's awesome, Godsmack - Bad Religion, keeps me from going insane, I think it's the rhythm.

ya, exactly, when you're in that foul mood there's nothing better than getting in the car, cranking it up full blast and screaming along with Sully...

I've usually found the Phil Collins album "In The Air Tonight", does that for me, too. I can't help but revert back to kidhood, trying to look sly like "Sonny Crockett", I've always idolized him. I like to get in my convertible and turn it up as far as it will go, and drive as hard and as fast as I can! I don't have to worry about tickets, but sometimes blasting Nonpoint's version will help induce a wave of relief.
There's nothing quite as gripping as doing eighty-five down a black road that is empty at one in the morning, to the wind blowing in your hair messing it up to Nonpoint. Something about that really has some release. I've found that driving to the Batman Begins album is especially nice, as well. It gives me a feeling of vigilance. Think about it, driving is something no one wants to do, but they must, so why not make it interesting. |

Hey, you've got to understand, I cannot cry anywhere! So, I find listneing to songs like Emily or Daddy, they tear me up inside, especially if you had a relationship with a girl that you lost, or had a father like that.
Just wait, Motoslam. It's nothing personal, but one day you'll have a parent die, or you'll even go through something like the woman of your dreams leaves or (or passes away, God forbid!). And you'll find crying not quite so bad. It's normal, and psychologically, it okay to do, as well. I just have been taught to never do it, my father wouldn't permit it, and I held it all in, and it's better to cry it out when something like a song strikes you. That's better than an explosive action, like thos mail workers that come into work and kill everyone iwth an Uzi. I've found my method quite restorative. I'm about to tell you right now, you can have killer abs, a great set of bedroom eyes, and the deepest, sexiest, Barry Whitest voice on Earth, and you'll cry. You can be as masculine as the world can make you, and crying is still natural. It's not hurtin anyone. And on the topic of this thread, I chose this question of the thread based upon three questions from a Prince forum, one entitled "Favourite Prince song to cry to?, "Favourite Prince song to have an (tryin to find the right word) adult encounter to?" and "Favourite Prince song to have a 'dream' while playing to?" I tried to choose the lesser sexually invilded one of the three. Forgive me, it seems I can't win a good thread around here! And BTW, I didn't know I got in so many people's hair with my Ridicule thread. You needn't worry, I shan't do it again. Jones |

OH well....'Alright people let's not start that up again.'
I believe Roger Moore put it best when he referred to something very similar in feelings to this montrosity turned sour, "Good night, Goodnight." Last edited by 007; 02-28-2007 at 02:02 AM. Reason: I felt the need to edit |
