Jewel on Nashville Star - Page 2

I thought Jewel's little mini-performance last night was kind of poor. I know someone else in here has already said this before--the choices she's been making with her vocals lately have been bizarre at best, and completely busted at worst. The way she was stretching the phrases was killing me. On the bright side, though, I still think she's really strong as a judge on the show--especially as compared to John, who has a hard time making any sense at all.

wow yeah. That was soooo weird. it was like she didnt warm up at all. her vibrato has gotten soo slooow.

New, short haircut, or did she just take out some old extensions? I wasn't a fan of the old lady helmet look personally...

I think some of the extensions have been taken out. Doesn't seem quite as full either but as usual, she looks fab.

Yeah, agreed she looked really pretty, but the bigness of the hair was kind of killing me. I guess she's a true Texan now, lol.

I think the hair cut looks good on her, but I probably normal to feel like something is missing when you look at her. Her long hair was an identifier so I just keep looking at it and can't decide if she looked more beautiful with long rather then short hair...

All in all, it's a good change...can't wait to see how she wears it...

Saw her on Saturday night here in Dallas and she definitely has not cut her hair, or if they're extensions, she definitely hasn't permanently abandoned them. She had hair all down her back during her set.

JewelWiki, i was at the Dallas concert as well. THe set list was the same as all the other ones shes been playing, with the exception of two songs:

Hands
Stronger Woman
I Do
You Were Meant for Me
Foolish Games
Life Uncommon
Anyone But You
Who Will Save Your Soul
Chime Bells

Anyone But You was good! She screwed up on the words once, but I really doubt anyone noticed except for us Jewel fanatics. You know the part that goes "It would end with me crying, and you leaving again..."? At the concert, she said "It would end with me leaving and me crying again..." She might have said "you leaving", but either way, she definitely had the order backwards lol. I have a few pictures, but they aren't at all good, because my tickets weren't good enough. The funny thing is, I won the Almost Famous contest, and my seats weren't even that good... I did get to talk to her briefly though! I have our "interview" on video, and will figure out how to upload it to youtube soon

i just asked her questions that i had been curious about. i guess one question i asked her was why she changed rosy and mick so much on the album... anyways, ill get to uploading it soon

thanks for the congrats! i was absolutely ecstatic. haha. i actually still am though. it was definitely one of the best things thats ever happened to me!

She basically said she just wanted to try something different haha. she then preceded to make a joke that she'll probably re-cut it and put on another album.
