HI ALL!

I’ve been so busy trying to get some rough demos of a bunch of songs- it was really a grueling few days! I have always been pretty hard on myself, and of course now I have a million other people's opinions in my head to sort through! That’s why I have usually taken so much time in between albums- just to get my head clear so I can hear my own voice again and see what interests me. And I feel I have always managed to do so. The fun part of starting this next album has been taking the time to go through songs I have meant to finish for years! I got to add bridges and clean up songs I don’t even remember writing- all thanks to stuff you guys have posted on youtube and the web! You have been the best fans and I can’t tell you how glad I am that you have all been so passionate and outspoken about what you like. You have helped keep songs alive all these years until I could get back to them. I will post a list of the songs I have done so far, some old and some new.

I’m still not exactly sure what style album I will make, other than the fact that it will go for country radio and be with The Valory Music Company. I may do a This Way rockin’ album or a stripped down one. If this one is not stripped down, then my next one will be. One I make like POY- at the ranch and sparse and emotional- something that’s just so hard to do unless I’m solo acoustic live on tour, or without a band on an album.

Anyway, I am going to do a about 5-10 more songs I hope next Monday and Tuesday, and then we are going to go away for a week! I’m so excited! But more on that later- now I want to debut a brand new song and see how you guys like it! I always love your thoughts. I included the lyrics here so you could follow along. Oh, and don’t forget to keep spreading the word about LULLABY – I’m depending on word of mouth for that album, so keep it going! Love to all of you, and I will be tweeting you all soon! xxj
