Well, we are excited that Ty made it to next week! It’s so strange that we are living here, not knowing if we are going home or staying every week. We always have our bags half packed in case, but so far so good!
I really enjoyed singing last night- the house band is really good- very, very talented cats! I thought they played nicely, and I thought that Dmitry and Chelsie danced beautifully to it- it was as full of longing and passion and angst and hope as I think the song is. Oh, and if you guys didn't know- “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from Lullaby is up on iTunes now, so if you want to get that song ahead of the album you can. Enjoy!


We finished the show and headed back to the apartment because I had a 5 am call today! Ty and I are shooting a page for Vanity Fair, and it’s an hour drive to the shoot location, so I am currently in the car headed through the darkness with George sleeping on my lap. I hate early call times like this, but it does give me time to write, which is nice. And I like the fact that we will wrap at noon, so I have the rest of the day to catch up on things, while Ty heads straight to the dance studio to learn the Fox Trot in four days! I'm really proud of him, for how hard he is working and how committed he is to trying to get better. Everyone on the cast is so nice – it’s been great to be able to hang with them and get to know them even though I'm not on the show.
Night is loosening its grip on the horizon- a paler blue is emerging, drowning out the stars... There is no traffic at this hour in LA, which makes the drive nice. Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed the show last night and I will talk to you soon, xxj
